PC
Hardware Components and Assembly
Doug
Beck
Doug Beck is the Webmaster of the New Jersey Computer Club and
has been involved with computers for several years
despite his age of just 16.
In both sessions, Doug will wear a video camera
mounted on his forehead. What he sees will be projected up on the screen for all of us to
see. We will all get a good look at the insides of a PC.
In the first session, Doug will show us various PC
hardware components and discuss their physical characteristics. He will
show us such things as power sources, fans, hard drives, video cards,
sound cards, modems etc.
In the second session, Doug will assemble some of
these components into a working PC. If you have any hardware components,
bring them to the meeting and we will test them for you.
We will all
learn more about the physical characteristics of PC hardware as well as some of the process of
changing or upgrading hardware components in a
PC.
