Minutes of the
November 10, 2004 The regular second Wednesday monthly General Meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club was held at the North Branch Reformed Church starting at 6:55 PM. There were approximately 28 members and 2 guests in attendance. The minutes and Treasurer’s report, as posted on the Web, were approved. Elections were held for the coming year. The following were elected: President: Fred Sabin The recipient from Union County College of the $500 NJCC Memorial Award is scheduled to receive the award at the January 2005 meeting. The Rider University award winner of the $500 NJCC Memorial Award is yet to be determined. Members are urged to bring food for the Christmas Party on the second Wednesday in December. They are also urged to bring donations of current software (for Windows 98 or later) or hardware for the Chinese auction. A Question and Answer session was held. The Club’s new laptop was discussed and made available for examination. Fred Sabin gave a very informative presentation on Acronis True Image 8, drive imaging/cloning software, and provided forms for special discounts for Club members wishing to purchase the product. Glen Jacoby of Jtec Systems (www.jtecsystems.com) in Hillsborough gave a truly professional presentation on viruses, spyware, etc. Respectfully Submitted, Tom Kehoe |
