New Jersey Computer Club General Meeting
The October General Meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club was held at the
North Branch Reformed Church. Approximately 31 members and guests were in
attendance.

Beck discussed upcoming programs. Those scheduled include Tom Kirk
from Creative Labs on November 12th, a Christmas party on December
10th and a presentation by Doug Beck, our Webmaster, on January14th. |

Fred
Sabin presented a $500 check to Ms. Lidia Flores, a student at Union
County College, who received a New Jersey Computer Club Memorial
Award at the meeting. Ms. Flores regularly provides computer
assistance to other students in Union County College's Academic
Learning Center in Elizabeth. Also aiding in the presentation were
Ms. Louise Yohalem, Executive Director of the Union County College
Foundation which was responsible for selecting the recipient, and
Tom Kehoe, Secretary of the NJCC. |

Fred
Sabin welcomed guests to the Club. He indicated that dues were
$36 a year
with a special 2004 rate of $30 for those paying by December 31, 2003. |

Following
the business portion of the meeting, Patty Tullock demoed Microsoft's
new Office 2003 suite. |
