Fred Sabin, Club President, opened the business portion of the meeting with a moment of silence to remember our departed Club member, Jim Russ. Fred announced that the Executive Committee had voted to change the name of the Club scholarship from the "New Jersey Computer Club Founders' Memorial Award Scholarship" to the "New Jersey Computer Club Memorial Award." The purpose of the change is to honor deceased members such as Jim Russ who, while not a Club founder, made outstanding contributions to the good of the Club and the community. Several people spoke about Jim's many kindnesses.
