Minutes of the March 12, 2003

New Jersey Computer Club General Meeting

• The regular monthly General Meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club was held at the North Branch Reformed Church starting at 6:30 PM. There were 40 members and guests in attendance.

• John Beck led a short “Random Access” Q&A period with Rich Byrne and Jim Russ assisting him.

• There was no business meeting.

• Fred Sabin announced the following future programs (details may be found on the http://njcc.org website):

   

  March 26^th - Internet Random Access (John Beck)

  April 9^th - Creative Labs - Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound Card

   

  Future NJCC meetings will be subject to change pending a NJCC Executive Committee meeting to address reductions in recent meeting attendance.

• Gene Barlow, President of User Group Relations and an expert on hard drives, made another fantastic presentation on “How to Move to Windows XP” and “Backing up your Hard Drive” using PowerQuest’s  “PartitionMagic” and “Drive Image”! These products were available for purchase at the meeting at a 50% User Group discount, as well as Gene’s “Discovering Your Hard Drive” CD. An additional discount was available for those that purchased all three products!

• The meeting adjourned at 9:10 PM.
