New Jersey Computer Club General Meeting

Fred Sabin called the meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club to order at the North Branch Reformed Church at 6:45 PM. There were 22 members and 3 guests in attendance.

  • Fred welcomed all in attendance.

  • John Beck led a “Random Access” period to answer computer related questions from the audience. This “Q&A” format has been very successful and well received by the membership.

  • Fred gave a very brief explanation and demo of  “MakePDF for Microsoft Word”, an add-in utility that can save MS Word documents to a PDF format. A review has been completed and will be sent to members via njccmail, as well as posted on the http://njcc.org website.

  •  A Motion was Made/Seconded & Approved to approve the Minutes and Treasurer’s Reports as recently posted on the http://njcc.org/ website.

  • John Beck announced the following future programs:

  • November 13th Meeting on “I have no need for the Internet” (John Beck)

  • December 17th (NOTE DATE CHANGE TO THIRD TUESDAY!) Meeting on “PC Music Options” (Doug Beck) & the annual NJCC Holiday Party / Chinese Auction

  • Tom Kehoe, Secretary of the New Jersey Computer Club and recently retired from Union County College after serving as a professor for 34 years, shared his in-depth knowledge of computers and software operations for the main meeting presentation. He explained many basic computer concepts and functions, and answered numerous questions from the audience. We are grateful for and again thank Tom for his continued service to the NJCC.

  • The meeting ended at 9:30 PM.

Respectfully Submitted,

Fred Sabin

President
