New Jersey Computer Club General Meeting
The
fourth Wednesday of the month General Meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club was held at the
North Branch Reformed Church.
There were 35 members and 4 guests in attendance.
-
Fred
Sabin, Club President, had new guests introduce themselves and tell how they found out about the NJCC.
-
Fred announced a special incentive, approved by the Executive
Committee, for members to pay 2003's dues by December 31st of this year.
Members making payment by the end of this year will be charged only $30
for next
year rather than the full $36 annual rate.
-
The
Executive Committee is still examining whether NJCC has the resources to
continue the computer recycling program when Phil Corbo moves.
-
Officers need to be elected for 2003. New nominations for NJCC offices are
welcome. The present officers have agreed to stand for reelection,
assuming that there might not be enough new nominations to field a
complete slate.
-
Tom
Kehoe will present a New Users Workshop on October 9th.
-
John Beck,
Tom Kehoe, and others led a Random Access period inviting members and
guests to bring up any questions about the use of personal
computers.
-
Vic
Laurie
made a presentation on Windows XP's pros and cons.
Respectfully submitted,
Tom
Kehoe
Secretary
