Minutes of the March 13, 2002

New Jersey Computer Club Meeting

The regular monthly Meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club was held at the North Branch Reformed Church starting at 6:30 PM. There were 45 members and guests in attendance.

• Fred welcomed all present. Five guests attended after finding out about the NJCC via a web search, Computer User magazine, and a member invite. A brief explanation of the NJCC and its benefits followed.

• Fred announced the programs for April 24^th (Adobe Publishing Collection) and May 8^th (Power Quest PartitionMagic, DriveImage & DriveCopy). John Beck announced that the Workshop meetings have been changed from the third to the fourth Wednesday of the month, with an Excel Workshop scheduled for March 27^th. Details may be found on the “njcc.org” website.

   

• Meeting refreshments have been discontinued pending the finding of volunteers to coordinate and assist with this activity. Mary and Henry Gorski volunteered to do refreshments for the April 24^th Adobe meeting. Additional volunteers are needed for coordinating, setting up, and clean up for this and future meetings.

• Rich Byrne reminded everybody to sign-up for “njccmail” at our “njcc.org” website if they are not currently receiving this service.

• Peter Oesterwinter (Director of Sales) and Donna DeVico (Marketing) from Zero Surge Inc. presented a program on “Surge Removal Filters” and the products currently offered by their company. These products can be purchased at special reduced prices for NJCC members (by contacting John Beck).

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 PM.
