Minutes of the January 9, 2002

New Jersey Computer Club Meeting 

The regular monthly General Meeting of the New Jersey Computer Club was held at the North Branch Reformed Church starting at 6:30 PM. There were 42 members and guests in attendance.

• Fred welcomed all present and wished everybody a happy, healthy and prosperous 2002.

• The November and December (2001) Minutes and Treasurer’s Reports were approved as posted on the NJCC website. A short discussion followed on the Microsoft website “Windows Update” feature that scans your computer system for installed components, and then recommends a list of fixes, updates, and enhancements to your Microsoft Operating System and/or Microsoft Office products. It is then possible to download these components and install them directly from the Web to your computer. The website URL is: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/.

• John Beck announced the programs for the January 16^th and February 20^th meetings. Details may be found on the njcc.org website. Tom Kirk presented the great line of products from Creative Labs currently being marketed, including their new Audigy Sound Card, their PC Cam 300, and their latest speaker line with all of the new features. Information on these products, as full details of functionality and price, are available on their website at: http://www.creative.com/.
