April 12, 2000 Meeting Minutes

 

  • There were approximately 58 members and guests in attendance.

 

  • Fred welcomed all in attendance.

 

  • With great sadness Fred announced to the membership that Ann Yacka, the Club's Treasurer and one of the founding members, had passed away. A Moment of Silence was observed in memory of Ann.

 

  • Due to Ann's passing, an emergency meeting of the Board was held, and John O'Neil was elected as replacement Treasurer. Also at the Board meeting, John Beck was elected Publicity and Programs Coordinator, replacing Dianna Pinchevsky who had to step down for health reasons.

 

  • Fred announced that free passes to PC Expo at the Javitz Center in New York are available to paid-up Club members. Anyone that would like tickets is asked to send an email note to Fred, requesting the tickets, at president@njcc.org.

 

  • Upcoming Presentations and Events include:

PowerQuest in May

Microsoft in June

A Flea Market in July

  • Fred introduced Keith Renty from Belkin Components, who gave the evenings presentation on various hardware items available from Belkin. The items presented included USB (Universal Serial Bus), KVM (Keyboard, Video & Mouse) and Power Protection products.
