MINUTES OF THE NEW JERSEY COMPUTER CLUB
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

OCTOBER 13, 2004

Present:  John Beck, Terry Beck, Rich Byrne, Tom Kehoe, John O’Neill, and Fred Sabin.

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. at the North Branch Reformed Church by Fred Sabin.

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That Union County College be selected to receive a $500 NJCC Memorial Award for 2004 (subject to approval by the NJCC membership at the October 13^th General Meeting). Fred Sabin requested that he receive the name and email address of the school contact for each approved scholarship. Tom Kehoe will provide the information for Union County College and John Beck for Rider University.

Fred Sabin named Rich Byrne to the vacant post of Club Librarian. Rich’s chief responsibility will be to keep track of Club equipment and software. This will include such items as the projector, proposed laptop, and present hardware and software (QuickBooks, MS Office, etc.).

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That a NJCC notebook computer be purchased ASAP in the price range of $1200-1500. Approval for this Motion is subject to approval by the NJCC membership at the October 13^th General Meeting. A non-Celeron CPU is preferred. John Beck will be in charge of making the purchase.
