MINUTES OF THE NJCC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING

SEPTEMBER 15, 2004

Present:  John Beck, Terry Beck, Rich Byrne, John O’Neill, and Fred Sabin.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. at the North Branch Reformed Church by Fred Sabin.

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That the NJCC Executive Committee nominate the current NJCC Officers for re-election at the November General Meeting per our “Constitution and By-Laws” Article 7.

QUALIFICATION: This assumes that all current NJCC Officers not at this meeting will accept this re-election nomination. We also have a vacant Librarian position that needs to be filled. In addition, every effort is to be made to find volunteers to backup or assist at each position and potentially fill that position should it become vacant at a future date. Also, every effort will be made to find volunteers for the Publicity, Program, Finance, Membership and Newsletter Committees.

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That Rider University be selected to receive a $500 NJCC Memorial Award for 2004 (subject to approval by the NJCC membership at the October 13^th General Meeting).

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That a NJCC notebook computer be purchased ASAP.

NOTE: Please look for potential notebooks that you would recommend and send the information to F. Sabin and J. Beck for review ASAP! The unit that they recommend will be emailed to the NJCC Executive Committee members for approval. Approval for this Motion (and process) is subject to approval by the NJCC membership at the October 13^th General Meeting.

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That NJCC dues paid prior to December 31, 2004, be $20 for 2005 (only), OR $30 (total) for both 2005 and 2006 (subject to approval by the NJCC membership at the October 13^th General Meeting).

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That active NJCC Executive Committee members be exempt from NJCC dues in consideration for expenses incurred that are not currently reimbursed (such as travel, telephone, postage, supplies, etc.). This is subject to approval by the NJCC membership at the October 13^th General Meeting.

Motion (Made/Seconded & Approved): That $75 be approved for a five year (5 years x $15/year) registration renewal of the “NJCC.ORG” Domain Name with directNIC (Intercosmos Media Group, Inc.).

The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
