10, 1999 Executive Committee Meeting
Present: Doug Beck, John Beck, Rich Byrne, Dave Golub, John Huemer (Chairman),
John O'Neill, Diana Pinchevsky, George Porcella, Fred Sabin, and Ann Yacka
The meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. by John Huemer at the North Branch Reformed Church.
I. NJCC Newsletter:
John and Doug Beck gave an update on the status of our new Web Page Newsletter.
They have a final content/format for the newsletter that was approved. It will be available on our
website at: http://www.njcc.org/news/ starting with the December, 1999, issue.
II. NJCCMAIL:
Rich Byrne has started an e-mail notification/communication system with 36 NJCC members currently subscribed see
www.onelist.com/community/njccmail for details. This
list serve will be used to notify members of meetings and any other important NJCC messages. Members must subscribe to this service by sending an e-mail to: njccmail-subscribe@onelist.com (nothing else in the subject or message areas).
III. Software Evaluation:
The Program Committee will develop "Evaluation Guidelines" to be followed by all persons that review a vendor software product. In the interim, Fred Sabin will review/evaluate
McAfee's "Office 2000 Pro" in a manner similar to the evaluation of "Norton Utilities (Version 4.0)" done for the July, 1999, NJCC Connection newsletter.
IV. Microsoft Office 2000:
A motion was made, seconded, and passed by unanimous agreement that the five copies
of Microsoft Office 2000 software be distributed as follows:

One copy to be put on one NJCC club computer (Done/Jim Russ).

One copy to be put in the December meeting Chinese Auction with separate tickets priced at $3.00 each (or four for $10.00).

One copy to be sold to the highest bidder at the December meeting with sealed bids
(with a $75.00 minimum bid).

One copy to be raffled at the December meeting to all paid-up NJCC members (at
the time of the drawing) who are present.

One copy to be "held" for future disposition (per Executive Committee decision).
V. Future Executive Committee Meeting:
The next Executive Committee Meeting will be Wednesday-December 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the NBRC (pending availability). The Agenda will be a discussion of the NJCC's past and future.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:25
