New Jersey Computer Club (NJCC)

2010 Membership and Dues Information

The New Jersey Computer Club (NJCC) is a not-for-profit organization under Section 501 ( c )(7) of the Internal Revenue Code, dedicated to educating the public about computer systems, software, and their uses; providing community service to charities and educational groups; awarding an annual NJCC Memorial Award; and sharing knowledge and social activities with other computer enthusiasts. The NJCC is a member of the Association of Personal Computer User Groups (APCUG).

We welcome guests who may be interested in sharing computer experiences with us to attend a maximum of two NJCC meetings at no charge, after which they must join the NJCC as “members” if they wish to attend further meetings and/or participate in NJCC affairs. Regular Membership (members) shall be available only to dues paying individuals. Dues amounts, conditions and payment terms are determined annually by the Executive Committee.

The current annual dues for members (from 1/1/10 – 12/31/10) is free for students through high school; $12.50 annually for a full time post-high school student; and $25 annually for up to two persons at the same address. New members may join at any time, with dues prorated to the end of that year only (ending 12/31) as follows:

Month Dues Paid

January - June                                               $25.00

July - December                                              $15.00

Current NJCC member dues must be paid in full before or at the first meeting that they attend. There will be no partial or prorated dues if a member does not attend all meetings. All dues are on a calendar basis (1/1-12/31). For example, if a member in 2009 has not paid dues for 2010, and does not attend the January and February meetings in 2010, their dues for 2010 are due in full when the member attends the March 2010 meeting (or any other meeting). They do not get any credit or reduction for any missed meetings.

If a current NJCC member does not pay dues for a full calendar year, and does not attend any meetings during that full year (1/1-12/31), they will be treated as a new member (who has already used up their two free meetings) the next time they attend a meeting. If a member attends any meetings in a calendar year (even if it is only the December meeting), they would owe full dues at the meeting they attended plus full dues the next year.
